We decided to try out another swimming pool in the Prenzlauer Berg area and were recommended the one at the Europa Park, close to Landsberger Alle.
It is a huge complex with an olympic size competition swimming pool. The choice of pools available for children is excellent here. There is a shallow paddle pool with taps, bubbles springs etc and varying depths (the deepest is 70cm). Then there is a deeper pool (1.5m) with a slide for more competent swimmers and, in a separate room, a super heated pool for children under 2.
So the insider tips for this pool. The S bahn station, Landsberger Allee, has an exit straight to the door of the pool. There is a buggy parking area by the cafe before you get to the payment desk. You need your tickets to get both in and out of the pool (not the same as all pools). The children's pools are to the left past the main pool once you exit the changing room. We had a little bit of a confusing first visit but with these tips it should be plain sailing!
The pool is closed from 14 July until 12 August 2012 for cleaning.
