Playground at Helmholtzplatz

Helmholtzplatz, a short walk from Eberswalder Strasse U bahn station, is a children's paradise. Whilst the playground really only has this huge wooden ship plus some smaller climbing frames and swings, it is a fantastic place to visit as children love the ship. The whole play area is a vast sandpit.

The open spaces around the play area are peaceful with a table tennis table and public toilet, although do seem to attract some homeless type people who on our visits have appeared to be pretty harmless.

At the other end of Helmholtzplatz in a great kinder cafe, Kiezkind.

View from the top of the ship towards Kiezkind.
