This bookshop on Helmholtzplatz is part of a small chain of community bookshops, mainly in Prenzlauer Berg. The English book selection for both children and adults was excellent with a number of unusual books. It also has the feel of being aimed at parents and children.

I am a huge fan of bookshops and this one really hit the spot for me with a bright interior, well selected books and lovely shelf displays that really drew you into to the book sections - even the German ones despite the fact that my German isn't great.

Towards the back of the shop is a little cafe area, which seems to be the fashion here in Berlin at the moment but very welcome. The interior design is very quirky (see the funky donkey lampshade above) and it really looked like a place you could sit and relax. As the name suggests the whole shop certainly has a very kiez (neighbourhood) feel to it.

I felt creative just looking at this display!

I haven't visited the other branches yet but they are listed on their website.
